Ethiopian Beauty contest to mark youth day

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia- a beauty contest to mark the International Youth Day is going to be held on August 8 at the Tourist Hotel in the town of Arbaminch [500 km from Addis Ababa].
The International Youth Day was declared by the UN in 1999. Starting from that year it is celebrated worldwide with many events that include workshops, sports week, various festivals to create awareness towards youth issues. Read More....

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia- Jazz is now a hip thing in Addis with the mushrooming of various jazz clubs as well as jazz bands in the capital. Five or six years ago one would find it hard pressed to see jazz catching up with Addis’ music scene with only one or two places where one can actually listen to jazz music. Most of the clubs were dominated with music played by DJs but now the trend is changing towards live music where bands have become a familiar fixture within Addis’ nightlife.
